This busy Village Market was established in July 2011 following a ‘Community Led Plan Open Day’ in February of that year. Feedback from the Open Day identified a need from parishioners for a monthly market. A small committee of volunteers agreed to investigate this proposal, from which our village market was born.
The market is held on the second Saturday of each month starting at 10am until 12 noon and has just celebrated its first year. The market offers the opportunity to buy quality local home grown produce, homemade chutneys, jams, cakes, bread and savouries along with locally made crafts at affordable prices and where people can meet up in a pleasant atmosphere whilst enjoying some refreshments.
Tables cost £3.00 per market and profits from table charges are used to support the Village Hall funds.
